The Red and The White Review

The film which was screened last week during class was  The Red and  The White.  This movie was set during The Russian Civil war.  I found this film was a bit hard to follow because of the lack of a main character and a basic plot.  However these two facts made the film very interesting.  Because there was no basic plot you were able to see the fighting on both sides without a biased view.  You were able to choose which side, the red, or the white, you would support.  I thought that the way the movie was filmed was also interesting.  throughout the movie there were not many shots that included close up shots of any one character.  There were also many times during this film where the camera would not follow the main point of action and would instead leave the ending up to your own imagination.  Overall I found this film to be very interesting.
